Terms of Service

Applies to tentaguiden.se. Last updated: 2026-08-30.

The legally binding version is the Swedish text at anvandarvillkor.html. This is a courtesy translation for non-Swedish speakers. Purchases of Tentaguiden+ are governed by the Swedish terms of sale at kopvillkor.html; section 13 below summarises them in English.

1. Parties and service

These terms form an agreement between you ("user", "you") and Bruno Wegelius, sole trader in Sweden, contact hello@tentaguiden.se ("we", "us", "Tentaguiden").

"The Service" means the website tentaguiden.se and the study material and features published there, intended as aids for studying and learning. Purchases of the paid tier, Tentaguiden+, are additionally governed by the Swedish terms of sale at kopvillkor.html. Where the two conflict on a matter concerning a purchase, the terms of sale take precedence.

2. Acceptance

By signing in to or otherwise using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not accept, do not use the Service.

If you are under 18 you need consent from a guardian. The Service is not intended for children under 13.

3. Permitted use

You may use the Service for:

• Personal study as a medical student, nursing student, junior doctor, resident, nurse or similar.
• Revising exam questions, subject guides and other study material.
• Sending feedback or flagging issues.

You may use the Service in private and professional contexts, but never as the sole basis for clinical decision-making. See section 7.

4. Prohibited use

• Using the Service in a way that breaks the law, local guidelines or professional ethics.
• Entering identifiable patient data (names, ID numbers, records) into the Service.
• Trying to access parts of the Service you are not authorized to, decompiling, reverse engineering or bypassing technical protections beyond what mandatory law allows.
• Using automation (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to bulk-download content or overload servers.
• Republishing, reselling or relicensing content from the Service without our written permission.
• Building a competing service by copying our structure, design or scraping data.
• Using the Service for harassment, threats, hate speech or other unlawful content in feedback.
• Sharing your account with multiple people, or using the Service beyond the number of devices reasonable for a single user.
• Using the Service to spread malware, attack our infrastructure, or otherwise compromise the security of other users.
• Uploading material you do not have the right to pass on, or files containing personal data — your own marked exam paper, name lists, patient material. See section 6 on the exam drop box.

5. Account and security

• Provide accurate information.
• Keep your credentials secret.
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, are misused, or threaten the operation of the Service.

Contact by email. We may need to reach you at the address linked to your account: for necessary messages about the account and the Service (verification, password resets, outages, security, material changes to these terms), and for occasional emails about the Service, such as a feedback request. You can opt out of the latter via the link in the email. We send no advertising. See Privacy Policy section 3.1.

6. Our content and your feedback

All text, code, design, illustrations and other material in the Service is owned by Bruno Wegelius or used with permission. You may use it for personal study but not republish it without permission.

Sources are referenced in the material. Tentaguiden is an independent project and is not affiliated with Umeå University, other universities or guideline publishers.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, flags or bug reports you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide right to use the information to improve the Service. We process feedback per the Privacy Policy.

Material you upload (the exam drop box). Some course pages let you submit a missing exam paper. The following applies:

• Upload a clean exam paper only. Never upload your own marked paper, or any other file containing names, national ID numbers or other personal data. Such files are deleted unopened.
• You confirm that you hold the file lawfully and are not barred from passing it on, for example by a confidentiality undertaking towards your university.
• The file is uploaded to closed storage. It is never published, never shown to other users, and never linked from the Service. We use it to transcribe the questions, which are reproduced as described for exam material above.
• You grant us the right to use the file for that purpose. You keep the rights you otherwise held.
• We review everything by hand and may delete anything without giving a reason. To have a file you submitted deleted, email hello@tentaguiden.se.
• Uploading requires an account. We record which account submitted what, so we can get in touch and so we can block misuse.

7. Medical disclaimer

The content of the Service is educational. Reference values, thresholds and formulas can differ between sources, guidelines and regions. Where possible the Service notes which source the material is based on, but all content must be treated as study material — not a recommendation for a specific patient.

Tentaguiden is not intended to meet Clinical Decision Support requirements under US FDA practice, the EU MDR or equivalent regulations elsewhere. Use the Service only as intended: as a study and revision aid.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep content correct and current but make no warranties — express or implied — that:

• The Service will be free of errors, bugs or downtime.
• Content is complete, current or free of misinterpretation.
• The Service fits any particular purpose.

Nothing here limits consumer rights mandatory under Swedish or EU law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for:

• Indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill.
• Damages arising from using the Service as a clinical decision tool contrary to these terms.
• Outages caused by third-party providers (Supabase, GitHub, ISPs or similar).
• Damages caused by technical failures outside our reasonable control, such as network outages, power failures or force majeure.

The core features of Tentaguiden are free of charge. Purchases of Tentaguiden+ are also governed by the terms of sale. Our total liability to you over any 12-month period is limited to the greater of 500 SEK and the amount you paid for the Service during that same period. The limit does not apply in case of intent, gross negligence, or where mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

Nothing in this section is intended to limit or exclude liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish or EU law, such as liability for personal injury caused by our negligence.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email hello@tentaguiden.se and we remove the account and associated data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, misuse the Service or if we discontinue the Service. On discontinuation we give at least 30 days' notice where possible.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves or laws change. We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes on tentaguiden.se. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

Swedish law applies. Disputes are resolved through dialogue first. If we cannot agree, disputes are heard by the general courts of Sweden, with Stockholm District Court as the first instance, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.

Consumers may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN, arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm), and we take part in its proceedings. If you live in another EU country you can get help from your national consumer authority or from the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC). The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed in July 2025 and is no longer available.

13. Purchases (Tentaguiden+)

This section summarises the Swedish terms of sale in English. The Swedish text is the binding one; read it before buying.

• What it is. A one-off purchase unlocking the analysed material for one term or one exam. No subscription, no automatic renewal.
• Price. Shown at checkout, in Swedish kronor, including VAT.
• Payment. Handled by Stripe. Card details never reach our systems. A receipt is emailed to you.
• Delivery and duration. Access is activated immediately on payment and runs until the end date shown at checkout. That date is set from the term's last regular exam in the course, with a week's margin after it, and also appears on the receipt and the invoice. It then ends by itself, with nothing to cancel.
• Right of withdrawal. Swedish law gives consumers 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, but digital content delivered immediately is exempt where you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost. The checkbox at checkout is that request and acknowledgement, and no purchase can be made without it.
• Faults. The Swedish Consumer Sales Act applies. If paid content is unreachable, you can require the fault to be remedied, and failing that a price reduction or cancellation. Email hello@tentaguiden.se.
• Failed-exam refund. If you fail the exam the access was bought for, the full amount is refunded and access is extended free of charge through the date of the first re-sit. Documentation from Ladok showing the failed result, together with a verifiable Ladok transcript, must be sent within 30 days of the result being announced. One refund per purchased period.
• Access is personal. It is tied to your account and may not be shared, lent or resold. Access logs are kept to detect sharing and systematic downloading.
• The content is protected. The diagnosis lists, frequency analyses and focus texts are copyright-protected compilations. Use them for your own study; do not copy, publish, share or systematically extract them. Delivered content may be marked per account.
• No guarantee of results. The material is study support built from previous exams. It is not a guarantee of exam results and not a complete list of what may be examined.
